Dattapara Ram Ratan Multipurpose Model High School was established in 1905. It was established that Ramtaran Guhara, then the zamindar of this area, It opened the secondary school account in 1912. The school was recognized by the University of Calcutta in 1930 for permanent approval. It is located 400 yards north of Dattapara Bazar from the center of Dattapara union under 8 Sadar upazila of Lakshmipur district.
