Overview Dattapara Union

Dattapara is a traditional and larger union of Laxmipur Sadar upazila. The area of this union is 20.39 square kilometers, (5040.21 acres). Even today, with the reputation of various ancient and traditional colleges, schools, madrasas and temples, this union is keeping pace with the present world.

This union consists of 15 villages. 1) Baralia 2) Gangashibpur 3) Barapara 4) Ramarkhil 5) Srirampur 6) Totarkhil 6) Lalpur 6) Dattapara

 9) Darjipara 10) Karaitala 11) Syedpur 12) Dhanyapur 13) Battali 14) Puniyanagar 15) Narsinghpur.

In terms of organizational structure, it has been divided into 9 wards. People of different religions including Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists are living here.

The population of this union is 59,697 (approximately). This union is geographically south of Mandari Union,

It is bounded on the north by Bashikpur Union, on the west by Bangakha Union and on the east by North Jaipur Union.

Most of the people in this union are involved in agriculture. There are also people of different professions including employees, expatriates, businessmen.
